As 2008 draws to a close, some of you are already looking ahead to what you want to do in 2009. It’s the time of year we begin to self-reflect and adjust our course for the upcoming year.
In my work Coaching Ausbildung people, I find it interesting that many of my clients set very clear intentions for what they want to accomplish. They are passionate about it. They put in the required work for a period of time. And then something happens. Self-sabotage.
The good news is that all the inures should be healed by the start of the season. The bad news is that we don’t know how those guys will return from those injuries. Patrick Kerney, Walter Jones, Matt Hasselbeck, Deion Branch and Nate Burelson are just a few of the guys who missed significant time last year due to injuries. All of them are keys to our success and none of them are exactly spring chickens.
There are two diametrically opposite things that business teams have to think about. There are always some very constructive things that can be increased, and some detrimental factors that can be reduced. Sit down with your team and chalk out what these things are. Then strengthen or mitigate them as the case may be. Keep doing this on a regular basis.
3s: When approaching a 3, put on your best smile and remember to keep it lighthearted. They would appreciate a good joke or even some humorous kidding. Keep it flirty and fun and expect to be entertained by your new 3 friend and don’t be surprised if they never stop talking!
Genuine testimonials from people, at least some of which you can find on the internet themselves, that way they have something to lose if they give worthless testimonials.
8s: All you really have to do with an 8 is ask about their career and you have given them the opportunity to talk all night. If you bring up the subject of money and business, you will have allot to talk about. Be prepared though to have your discussion interrupted by an important phone call.
TIP: For the next few days observe what you say and think about yourself and money. Is it loving or fearful? Next, decide: Are you willing to shift? Making a conscious choice to shift from hate or fear about your money to love and appreciation is a beginning. Shifting your thoughts to a loving and accepting attitude will invite more money into your life. What you appreciate, appreciates.
