For many families, taking vacations is not something that happens too often. If you are raising your family on a tight budget, getting away from home is likely to be a luxury that no one is expecting. Your next family vacation can be fun for everyone and can be as worry free as possible, if you plan accordingly.
They learned how to raise a sail and participated in the daily chores of living aboard. Both kids were provided with disposable water cameras and Caribbean fish guides so they could identify what they saw while snorkeling. By nightfall, they were exhausted and often barely made it through dinner.
If your family loves the Great Outdoors and wants to be thrilled while enjoying it, then this is definitely one of the best family reward points ideas for you. The rafting trip’s degree of difficulty should depend the age of your children, and how much you want to be challenged. Sometimes you can find companies that provide special beginner whitewater rafting trips for young children. As a word of caution, it’s highly advisable that you secure all of your possessions in waterproof compartments. There’s always a chance that your boat could capsize while rafting.
The restaurant portions are out of control in 99% of the restaurants you go to. I’m sure your vacation is in a place that this will be likely. The hardest part about controlling portions as restaurants is the fact that it’s good food and it’s already in front of you. Eating a little good food isn’t going to hurt you. Eating a lot of good food will. The solution is to share. If you split a meal, you can enjoy the good food without worrying about eating too much. You know you will get enough. The restaurant portions are so out of control that you are likely still getting enough food to constitute a serving…or more.
The way to do this is by taking time to relax, replenish and receive. When you do, you are making a conscious choice to live a life of grace and ease and abundance. Essentially you’re asking for more of vacation mode the same.

The whole point of vacation is to take a break from work, not to have thoughts and messages from work mixing in with your sweet, creamy Pina Coladas or daring sky diving lessons. Leave the laptop behind, don’t check voice mail, and don’t call the office. Change your outgoing phone messages and set up an auto reply on email to make sure everyone knows you’re not available until your return date.
